Info:

The art of the edit is a much argued topic. The skill goes far beyond, as Mark E recently stated ?just adding beats at either end of the track?. Some, like E, have become synonymous for their enviable edit talents; Wilson, Harvey, Terje, Beedle are all at the top of their game when it comes to the delicate and ultimately respectful touch. Whether its reworking for the dancefloor, tweaking for your tastebuds or looking to inject a new freshness to the funk, the best edits are never forgotten.
Last month Phil Weeks? Robsoul Essentials offshoot launched the first in its Robsoul Edits series which sees friends and family selecting tracks from the catalogue and setting to work on creating their very own collection of personal edits. Volume One was in the capable hands of Around7 who today passes the baton to our Berlin based brother Sebo K.
Coming fresh off the back of his hugely supported label debut, Catalyst EP, the Scenario boss makes a quick and much welcomed turn around to present his very own collection of Robsoul Edits. Eight tracks from the catalogue receive a Sebo shakedown as he goes to work on label classics from the likes of DJ RaSoul, Nail, Rick Wade and the boss man Phil Weeks.
With Volumes 3 and 4 already confirmed and in the works the Robsoul Edits series is shaping up to be one of the label’s finest. Credit to the Edit!
