Phil Weeks ” deep side featuring maya ”
Phil proves again that his label is one to watch, with this wonderful tribally vocalised excursion. The original is an innocent and pure ride, full of beauty keys, mid range synth bass and percussive fills. “Beatz” takes things on a techy tribal vibe, with heavy percussive rolls and a few well placed atmospherics. Flipping over, “Minimal Side”, mixed by JETSEB, is a game of two halves. The first being a tech-progressive hybrid using clean cut shakers, echoed vocals and a dark live guitar, while the second goes all west coast, with reverbs and a rolling bass.
