Six months since he revealed the innermost workings of his mind with his formidable debut album ‘Around My Brain’, Bordeaux beatmaker Suburb Beat returns to Robsoul with ‘Back & Forth’.
A four track treat landing just in time for the grand dancefloor re-opening, it covers all the sounds and spices we know and love from both artist and label alike. ‘Back & Forth’ is so understated, warm and bubbly, ‘Something Special’ bumps with delicious trippy flurries, ‘No It’s Not’ flexes a slippery 23rd century funk flavour while ‘I Don’t Think So’ brings us home with a much chunkier groove that’s reminiscent of Derrick Carter and that Classic Music vibe.
