Robsoul welcome the return of the currently unstoppable Spanish partnership of Iban Montoro and Jazzman
Wax. Founders of kindred-spirit label Moody House, since their last successful outing on Phil Weeks’
perennially BS-free imprint (2016’s ‘Rock Skate’ EP’) they’ve dented the discogs of the likes of Cyanide, Fogbank
and the super-hot Simma Black… And have come back packing some of their slickest hitters to date.
Four tracks deep, each one hits the spot with a timeless sense of groovemanship: ‘Juernes Day’ slinks with a
rolling, mutating disco funk sample, ‘Do You Self’ flips the filters with finesse as soulful shades flicker in and out
of view while ‘Heartbreaker’ ups the crunch factor with a juiced bassline and vocal snippets so sharp you can
take a shave with them. Finally ‘Need To Say’ seals the deal with soft-focus shimmers and sassy, chop-slapping
shuffle.
