Info:

Joining the impressive line of fellow countryman that have wowed us with their productions and skills behind the decks, is the latest of the Romanian House elite, Guy From Downstairs. While his name and music may suggest a preferred basement dwelling, our man from Bucharest’s music is set to raise many a roof and his profile over the course of 2016.
With footage surfacing just today of his tracks being played by tINI and Bill Patrick in their epic Sunwaves set, the timing couldn’t be better for us to unveil his impressive debut Ep for Robsoul.
Guy From Downstairs takes us to ‘Church’ on the opening number. A huge bass driving kick-drum and spoken vocal make up this simple, yet ultra effective opener.
The smooth, bulbous bass tones and cheeky vocal chops continue on ‘Insir Rope’, with its delicate string pulses and RnB vibe, before we’re introduced to the filtered funk and hazy snares of ‘The Mesteacan’.
Closing the ‘La Di Da Di’ Ep is an ode to dear old Humph. Snare rolls, bumping beats and even a doorbell sounds, as Guy From Downstairs plays it again, one last time on ‘Bogart’s Groove’.
