New Jersey native Kenny Summit, now residing in the sunshine state of California, matches LA groove with East
Coast swing on an impressive Robsoul debut.
The Good For Records boss is heavily embedded in the US House scene and his Good For You Records has
been consistently turning out strong releases for the last five years as a home for the likes of Terrence Parker,
Vanilla Ace, Luke Solomon, Danny Krivit and more. It’s become a go-to-label for those in know.
The rubbery bassline of title track ‘Linda,’ played live by Kenny himself, is the backbone of this musical
dedication. The combination of Summit’s plucking talents and spoken word vocal, result in a stripped-back
groove-heavy basement jam.
On the flip we feel the sunshine on our faces, as ‘My Streets’ rolls out it’s sparkling piano and garage bassline,
whilst the vocals and hats shimmer atop. Pure party music from Robsoul’s freshest face.
