Following early breakthrough releases on Big Bait and Exploited, the ‘Broken Sound’ EP presents the Liege lads on a much wider level and gives them space to stretch their legs and get their deep, hypnotic, soul shaking groove on. The filtered jazzy twangs of ‘Orangeade’ pop the cork with full party flavour vibes while ‘Broken Sound’ breaks us down with its emotional swoons and killer sample play.
Elsewhere ‘Still Shinin’’ rises and rises with hopeful arpeggios and ‘Mean To Me closes on a chunky heads-down, late night bass exploration with plenty of percussion and deep jazzy chords. Something for all house heads; ‘Broken Sound’ provides a major fix.
